SQRXLS provides a unique link between PeopleSoft and Microsoft
Excel for report output. The toolset utilises a detailed understanding
of the PeopleSoft 8 reporting structure, Process Scheduler
and Report Distribution to provide a structured method for
writing reports which produce output in multi-spreadsheet
workbooks.
Congruent provides SQRXLS to its clients free of charge to

User benefits
The users have the ability to view, manipulate,
save and distribute data using Excel before printing or
automatically directing output to the printer. Data format
comes pre-configured for ease of use with graphs, pivot
tables and mail merges.
Excel
Support for Microsoft Excel version 5 and
above output format. Multiple logical reports can be combined
as separate spreadsheets within one workbook. Specific column
formatting can be defined for the report including currency,
number or text types, fonts, formulas, locking and colouring.
Up to 254 columns of any type of data can be created in
each spreadsheet with up to 60,000 rows of data.
PeopleSoft
SQRXLS supports PeopleTools versions
7.5 and above. From version 8 onwards all processing is
done on the Process Scheduler and includes concurrent report
creation. The print options are automatically read from
the Process Scheduler. The report output is secured using
the PeopleSoft Report Distribution process. The final workbook
can be saved using the name of the SQR and process instance.
Program
SQRXLS is an option driven programming
interface allowing flexibility in most formatting related
areas, including titles, headers and footers, column headings,
spreadsheet tabs, spreadsheet order and column formats.
The SQR can define default printing modes of Landscape or
Portrait for each spreadsheet. Dynamic formulae can be defined
in the SQR which are then calculated in the spreadsheet.
Pivot tables can be automatically created with one line
of code. Combined Non-Excel output is supported. One macro
is used for reports, rather than having to create different
macros for each. The Microsoft Excel formatting is performed
using a Visual Basic application which can also be modified
to suit requirements.
