 PeopleSoft Human Capital Management is a global module that 
                  supports all human resourcing functions.  PeopleSoft 
                  Payroll can be integrated with the HCM database to provide the 
                  tools to run a complete and efficient human resources and 
                  payroll operation across an organisation.  PeopleSoft 
                  facilitates payroll calculation, tax computation and cheque 
                  preparation along with comprehensive statutory, management, 
                  payroll and tax reporting.  PeopleSoft HCM ensures a proven, 
                  dependable environment for processing large quantities of 
                  people-related data.  Highlights of our project work include: 
                    Functional Design  
                    Ernst & Young aim for maximum ROI with return to 
                      vanilla PeopleSoft 8In order to assist E&Y to maximise ROI from their 
                      upgrade, our functional specialists worked closely with 
                    their business users to create a full functional analysis of 
                    the existing system and customisations. Congruent designed V8.3 solutions 
                      to reduce the level of customisations required and reviewed 
                      business processes and functionality in line with the new 
                      HR Service Centre environment.
 
 Six Continents re-implement PeopleSoft 8 globally to manage rapid 
                      growth by acquisition.
 As part of this complex project, our functional specialists 
                      led a disparate project team based in a number of regions 
                      through the design and build of a global system for the 
                      Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific. A complication to original 
                      scope was the addition of a new implementation for Asia Pacific 
                      which involved the re-implementation of other regions.
 Technical Design and Development
                    
                    
                    DERA save 45 man-weeks annually through automation of Pay 
                    Review process. 
                    DERA, now QinetiQ and DSTL are the largest single employer 
                    of scientists in the UK, comprising some 15,000 civilian, 
                    military and contractor personnel.  The business required a 
                    HCM System that would provide a total business solution for 
                    managing the diversity of its employees and commenced 
                    implementing PeopleSoft HCM 7.5 in 1998.   On behalf of 
                    PeopleSoft Consulting, Congruent consultants played a key 
                    role in the HCM implementation providing both functional and 
                    technical expertise.  Moving from systems that were largely 
                    manually based, Congruent created an automated Pay Review 
                    process, which replaced 36,000 manual database transactions 
                    with 28 automated ones.  This automation delivered 
                    subsequent annual savings of some 45 man-weeks of effort. By 
                    removing such routine administration in Personnel, HCM staff 
                    can now concentrate on strategic issues and as a result are 
                    able to add greater value to the business, helping to ensure 
                    the long-term future of the organisation.

                      PeopleSoft 8 implementation. Tesco faced the complex issue of translation to Thai 
                    during their global implementation of HCM V8.3.  Tesco 
                    required a generic solution which could be used in future 
                    rollouts to other countries, which would allow them to 
                    develop in English in the UK whilst producing customisations 
                    presented in Thai which made sense when read by a Thai 
                    speaker.  The challenge facing our consultants,  
                    representing PeopleSoft Consulting, was complicated by the issue of the 
                    development team having limited direct access to the HCM and 
                    translation teams in Thailand.  The solution was to use the 
                    Translation workbench to output into Excel.  A 
                    master repository of Thai translations was used as a 
                    glossary which meant the translation could be done remotely, 
                    additionally the same techniques and spreadsheets could be used for 
                    the next country to be rolled out.  User acceptance testing 
                    was performed by our technical consultants in conjunction 
                    with the Thai users.  
                    Our consultants also developed a number of strategy 
                    documents, control spreadsheets, and translation templates 
                    which will significantly reduce subsequent translation 
                    efforts.
 Congruent utilise new integration technologies to meet 
                      concise scope requirements and guaranteed deliverables for 
                      MOD.The MOD commenced implementation of PeopleSoft HCM V8.3 in 
                    2002 and the initial implementation was comprised of 4 business 
                    units and 4,500 employees.  This complex implementation 
                    required an in depth understanding of various integration 
                    technologies including Component Interface, file layout and 
                    Application Engine.  Our team of technical developers, on 
                    behalf of PeopleSoft Consulting, designed and implemented a Data 
                    Migration strategy from the legacy system to PeopleSoft.  
                    The use of these technologies represented a great technical 
                    leap forward in reducing processing time and errors by 
                    highlighting anomalies in data before processing.  
                    Leveraging this new functionality meant a substantial 
                    reduction in data conversion cycles which led ultimately to 
                    a reduction in the cost and effort of future upgrades.
 Production Support  
                     AMP UK reduce support spend by careful management of 
                      transition between project team and permanent staff.AMP UK wished to reduce their dependence on consultancy 
                    after their successful implementation in 2000. Congruent 
                      technical consultants worked closely with the permanent 
                      technical team throughout the implementation.  Our 
                    consultants designed a program to provide in-depth tailored 
                    training to the permanent team ensuring that operational 
                    support was not compromised. A successful phased handover 
                      took place allowing the client to manage all 
                      operational and application support internally.
