What do you consider to be your main area of expertise?
My main computing skills lie in networking, computer hardware and operating
systems and therefore I am really interested into getting into the
environment and server configuration side of PeopleSoft. My favourite
operating system is Linux and I am very keen to get PeopleSoft running on
that platform as I think it will be an interesting option for clients in
the future, especially that PeopleSoft have now added it to their supported
operating systems in PeopleTools V8.44. Having graduated from University in
the past year, I am looking forward to learning all of the different aspects of
PeopleSoft.
What originally drew you to consulting or the computing field?
Being interested in many aspects of computing such as networking and
computer hardware has enabled me to understand computing from a technical
aspect. This has also been enhanced by my study of Cybernetics at degree level.
After completing a combined mechanical and electronic orientated final year
project becoming a technical consultant seemed a logical step.
Why did you join Congruent?
After working in software test, Congruent offered me an opportunity
that I could not miss, a chance to work in a more technical environment,
with all of the training that I needed.
Where do you want to be in 5 years time?
Five years is a long time, anything can happen. Where would
I like to be? Well hopefully I will be a fully fledged technical
consultant, but apart from that take life as it comes.
